KLC established the environment and society-friendly “sustainability management strategy.” Under the strategy, KLC has determined where to be developed and where to be preserved and reflected them on the comprehensive territory information system including geographic information, aptitude information, transaction information, environmental information , and cultural asset information to pursue sustainable development and conservation . In addition, KLC has built high-quality and livable cities which are incomparable even by the global standard, enhancing the quality of living of the people . KLC is pursuing continuous innovations with the transparent Tomato Management at the center of its management activities and being transformed into a company that is recognized by the entire nation. As a comprehensive land information management organization, KLC has established the sustainable development system which satisfies conservation and development at the same time by using the territory information system. In 2006 , conflicts between development and conservation intensified further. As an effort to overcome objections against government's forced land expropriation and frictions in the process of development, “Role Play System” was introduced. This enables taking a look at a project from perspectives of various interested parties and the detection and resolution of potential problems arising in the process of project implementation. In addition, “Tomato System” was introduced allowing customers to check all development processes from contract signing to moving-in through the prior review system, and thereby obtaining trust of customers. Unlike other state-run enterprises, KLC has established the “ environmental performance assessment” system and managed some 20 environmental indicators including greening supply chain, environmental design, and green partnership. In addition, KLC's “Onnuri Volunteer Group” struck a partnership with the Red Cross, carrying out systematic social volunteer activities. KLC is also duly performing its social responsibility by pursuing the “ Making a Green Society ” with an aim to repair old parks and playgrounds and to build environment-friendly theme facilities together with the Korea Green Foundation . KLC will be firmly established as a SUSTAINABILITY MANAGEMENT serving the country and society, duly performing its social responsibility, and putting the interests of the nation before those of the sustainorate through the pursuit of the sustainability management. KLC will make best efforts to enable the nation to see and feel this change.
